Cllr Linda Candlin is the Deputy Chair of Town Council Planning and the Better Bewdley advisory Committee for the civic year 2015 - 2016.

Councillor Linda Candlin representing Wibbenhall on the Town Council has joined the Planning, Finance and Staffing Committees of the Council.

Linda has also attended the two Councillor Surgeries at the Library in June and July.


Linda Candlin - Profile

Linda has been a Wribbenhall Town Councillor for 4 years. In 2013 - 2014 Linda had the pleasure and honour of being Town Mayor and representing Bewdley throughout the County. In addition to attending a wide range of events and supporting many local organisations during her mayoral year Linda also raised over £5,500.00 for her two Charities Headstart and Bewdley Concert Band.

She says; having lived in Bewdley for over 40 years I am passionate and committed to the local community. With 3 grown up children, 2 grandchildren (another on the way) family life is very important to me. Bewdley is not just my Town, it is my family’s Town.......It matters greatly.

Some of my aims for Bewdley are

  • Petty  Crime and Antisocial behaviour  MUST BE  addressed firmly
  • Bewdley shops, tourism and parking  MUST BE  a priority
  • Bus services and transport MUST BE  improved
  • Leisure centres and services  MUST  BE discussed fully before final decisions  are made
  • Medical Centre and Library services MUST BE supported
  • Residents Voices MUST BE heard at all levels.
